The YIA Sub-Committee brings you the first Young IA Activity Weekend 29 June - 1 July 2012 Swansea
In 2012 Young IA are going to try something different. Staying at the University of Swansea, the weekend will start with dinner on the Friday evening. Saturday will be spent at a local activity centre, followed by a meal out in Swansea in the evening. So if you're aged 18-40 with an ileostomy or internal pouch and you want to try some new activities as well as meet some new friends, why not join us from the evening of the 29 to the morning of the 1st for a fun filled weekend.
What's Included?
Accommodation for 2 nights in single en-suite rooms, all meals, and all activities - likely to be kayaking and coasteering.
All for just £220.00
Funding may be available from the Young IA Bursary Fund. The Young IA Bursary exists to provide help (subject to eligibility) for young people in meeting the costs of events such as the Young IA Weekends. Other Young Events (Non-IA)
Breakaway is the only England & Wales based charity offering residential adventure activity breaks for young people aged from 4-18 with bowel and/or bladder diversions and dysfunctions, and their families.
Breakaway offers the chance for families and young people to meet, talk about ,and share their experiences in a relaxed and friendly environment. The main aim of Breakaway though is to have fun!
For 2012, Breakaway has two weekend events arranged, which will take place at the YHA National Forest - both are for three nights.
4th May - 7th May 2012 or 24th August - 27th August 2012
