Patient Day 2012 - Beating Bowel Cancer Together
Patient Day 2012, on Saturday 28 April, aims to empower patients to meet the challenges they face and encourage a wider public awareness about bowel cancer. It will celebrate patients achievements and give the opportunity to learn more about living as normal a life as possible, for as long as possible. The event is free to attend. Putting the NHS on the side of patients
In a key speech at Guy’s Hospital on 7 December 2011, the Health Secretary, Andrew Lansley, set out his vision for an NHS that is truly on the side of patients. He made three major announcements about driving up patient results and giving patients more control over their healthcare. The announcement from the Department of Health can be accessed here.

The British Toilet Association, a member of the IBS Network, has launched an e-petition to make Parliament pass a law to make the provision of public toilets compulsory. Airport Body Screening...
IA strongly recommends that you carry a Travel Certificate with you at all times so that you have a document to present to security staff to describe your condition, should this be required. It may also be helpful to have a letter from your GP. If you do not already have a Travel Certificate, we will be pleased to send you one by post (please contact IA National Office).
