Research Study - Living with an ostomy, dealing with leaks

Researchers at the Nanotechnology and Integrated BioEngineering Centre (NIBEC) at Ulster University have developed an online questionnaire to gather information on living with a stoma and dealing with leaks. Ultimately, the findings from this questionnaire will aid future research into usefulness and usability of an early warning system that can be used to alert the patient to the impending advent of a leak.

You can be included if you are:

Aged 18+ years
Have an ostomy

Firstly, you will be asked about your age and gender, as well as information on your stoma bag. Participation in this study is voluntary and you are able to withdraw at any point without giving a reason. All questionnaires will be anonymised and stored securely and will be made available only to persons conducting the study. By completing this questionnaire we are assuming that you are giving your consent to participate in the study.

Ethical approval has been granted by the Faculty of Computing & Engineering Ethics Filter Committee at Ulster University. Please read the 'Information for Participants' before completing the survey.
